The perfect the combination of urban art (Gaudí’s) and an urban parks (which happens to be on a mountain)
Parc Güell is Gaudí’s playground — a colorful, gingerbread-like, magical, outdoor world. The intrigue and fancifulness of the park is irresistible for both tourists and locals. Relax on one of Gaudí’s snaking mosaic benches, or climb above the clusters of people to seek out peace and some of Gaudí’s more hidden contributions to the land. From almost every vantage point in the park, the city of Barcelona spreads out below.
The best way to reach Parc Güell is on Bus 24 from Plaza Catalunya toward Carmel. It’s a trip you’re bound to make more than once if you’re in Barcelona for at least a couple of weeks.
