Forever in progress, this Gothic church is Gaudí ‘s great unfinished masterpiece
Sagrada Família is undoubtedly the most detailed, ornate and impressive structure in all of Barcelona. It also is far from finished. Construction began on Gaudi’s design in 1882, and still — slowly — continues. Circle the base of the gothic-style Catholic Church for views that vary entirely from one side to another. There is so much beauty and detail inside and out, so if you’re in the city for an extended period of time, take a couple of trips back. La Sagrada Família will look more astounding every time.
