Champagneria is located in Barceloneta, the beachside neighborhood, and it is always packed. It’s standing room only, so you’ll be squeezed in next to your neighbors and have to elbow your way to the bar to shout your order, but that’s the fun of it. The menu is short, cheap in price and posted above the counter, though your options are still foods like spicy blood sausage and perfectly tender chicken breast sandwiches with peppers. As for a drink? Your only choices are a glass of cava (sparkling wine) or a bottle of cava. 

Champagneria has all the characteristics of a hole-in-the-wall bar, but also a fast food-slash-food counter at its best. Champagneria closes around 10 pm, which is uncharacteristically early for Barcelona, so you’ll have to continue the cava-soaked party elsewhere.
