A wine bar with selections from Argentina and beyond, plus great small plates
Portezuelo is a classic wine bar, with brick walls, melting candlesticks, intimate wooden tables and all. After a long day touring Recoleta Cemetary, Portezuelo is the spot to sit down to a generous glass of red wine. The list is extensive, from all over Argentina as well as other parts of the world, and there’s not a bad choice on the menu. The food, too, makes a great meal. The menu of small plates are perfect for nibbling or teasing before dinner, but the entrees hold their own if you choose to stay. Opt for the chicken stuffed with rugula or the salmon with salsa verde, and ask the waiter to recommend a wine pairing. Bon appetit!
