Any establishment with an exclamation point in its name automatically makes me dubious as to how fun it actually is, but this place is deserving of its punctuation
Cafe BaBaReeba! is one of Chicago’s more well-know tapas spots. I first ate here a few months after returning from abroad, so my palate was accustomed to the real deal. The tapas were tasty, but not overly authentic, but the atmosphere is fun and young, which enhances the experience. And although your instinct probably is to order a pitcher of sangria, pass on it. It’s disappointingly watery. Don’t worry — there are plenty of other beverages on the menu.
