Chicago’s best tapas restaurant
Cafe Iberico is huge and the decor a little hokey (think lots of murals intended to make you feel as though you’re actually abroad). But get past these initial reactions and enjoy some of the tastiest tapas in Chicago. They do the basic tapas to their fullest flavor-wise and lure you in with more daring eats, such as calamares a la plancha (grilled squid with olive oil, garlic and lemon juice).
Cafe Iberico also claims the title for only Spanish Delicatessen in the city of Chicago, Deli-berico, though I have yet to try the cheeses and meats they slice fresh.
