Some might say SushiSamba’s heyday is over, but one evening at the Rio spot would change their minds

I have to admit I’m not a fan of the SushiSamba outposts in New York City, but for some reason it works really well in downtown Chicago. SushiSamba Rio is massive, with multiple levels, bars and countless tables. The Latin-Asian fusion is a surprisingly sensible, tasty and satisfying combination, and the ambience manages to maintain a level of trendy without coming across as trying too hard.
