An eclectic club made for dancing, drinking and DJs in Wicker Park
Debonair has one of the most loyal crowds of any bar in Chicago because of the diverse interests it satisfies for some niche groups. Every Tuesday it plays host to a heavy metal concert, and on other days they play ’90s hits and sometimes it’s house. Look at the calendar to find occasional karaoke nights and appearances by reggae bands. The DJs are almost always familiar names, and trippy videos play on flat screens around the club to accompany the beats.
Oh, did I forget to mention the dance floor is raised and lit up in block colors? In June, the party moves outdoors to the open-air patio.
Stop in Flash Tacos across the street on your way out (it’s the red awning) for some killer Mexican to soak up the booze on the El/bus ride home. Tomorrow, check the “PHOTOS” section of the site to see if you made history.

One of my favorite places to dance the night away…. fun random events are always going on! Especially enjoyed my last accidental visit to the heavy metal show in the basement
