Two parts upscale establishment, one part sports bar
Old Town Social is beautiful. The decor is rich in reds and golds with a Victorian motif, and a roaring fireplace occupies the front room. It is warm, inviting and trendy, yet it still (and somewhat disappointingly) attracts a sports bar-like crowd. The chow isn’t to be overlooked; Old Town Social prides itself on its menu, which includes a charcuterie selection and impressive list of cheeses, most of which are from the Midwest. An abbreviated version of the menu is available late at night, for which I would recommend the light yet tasty vegetarian sandwich with chickpeas, marinated goat feta, sweet peppers and salsa verde.
